Interiors :: My Eat-in Kitchen

Hey Guys! I’m moving this weekend and it’s getting kinda busy. With all this snow in the Northeast, Im pretty much going to work and trying to make it home in a reasonable time. I’m selling most of my furniture and purchasing a lot of new items which means my garage is starting to look like a warehouse and my mom gives me a daily reminder that I need to “hurry up and do something with all these boxes”… Let me just say, it’s time ya’ll.

Dining rooms have never been my thing. I don’t believe in rooms that only get used once or twice a year, so shopping for dining room furniture has never been a priority of mine. In my last apartment, I ate my dinner on the floor in front of the TV, but I’m going to be a grown-up this time around and buy a dining set. I’ve been shopping for the past two weeks, going back and forth between different looks and styles. I’m finding that I tend to lean more towards trendy than traditional and I want to ensure that whatever I buy, I love.  Wwwweeellll, I finally went with my gut and bought what I loved.

I started with this inspiration board and bought the table, chairs, and pillows pictured below. The Backdrop is my wall color, Benjamin Moore – Gray Gray Owl, and the chandelier is from West Elm, I love it but my pocket book doesn’t sooooo we’ll see if that actually gets purchased.

I’ve been pinterest addict for the past couple weeks looking for inspiration (and because I’m addict). These dining rooms are GORGEOUS and definitely made me a believer. Even if I still occasionally eat on the floor, my guest won’t have to.
