I love that crop tops and matching separates are trending. They’ve survived the last two years in the fashion rounds so it might be safe to say that they are here to stay. With every trend, in order to keep it updated you need to add an unexpected twist or it will become mundane and everyone will end up looking alike (as if thats not already happening).

Thankfully, designers and clothing retailers mixed it up this season and I like the changes. This years crop top is shifting away from last years tight version and taking a turn towards a more sophisticated, forgiving shape. It’s more structured, detailed, and being showcased in beautiful patterns. I also love the idea of matching separates and the two together are summer perfection.
