Hey guys, so a little back story as to how a young, vibrant, 20’sumthin like myself ended up trolling Ann Taylor’s website. Once upon a time before my obsessions with Zara, Asos, and Topshop and when my mom was still making contribution to my wardrobe I was a frequent shopper of Ann Taylor, the Loft to be exact. I worked for Wells Fargo 5 years prior to my career in real estate and business attire was required bummer. I don’t mean business casual, which can still lean on the trendy side, I mean business attire. Men wore stuffy suits and women wore dress slacks or dresses to the knees. It was a dark time in my life lol but because of my dress requirements I was a frequent shopper at Ann Taylor, NY & Company, and the Limited. I purchased clothes just to have things to wear to work but I wouldn’t call any of the retailers stylish.
When I started working in New York, the dress code loosened a bit and being that I worked 2 blocks from the Fashion Mecca that is 5th Ave I kissed Ann Taylor goodbye. Fast Forward 3 years and I’m with a new company and we can basically wear whatever we want but as the summer months come to a close, the dreaded back to Office Attire email is sent. As I started going through my winter clothes I really realized I don’t have many traditional work pieces anymore, I hopped over to Ann Taylor and to my surprise its gone through a major transformation. Its modern, with looks for today’s working woman, even us 20’s somethings.
I love this new Ann Taylor and will definitely be stopping in more often than not. Check out some of my fav looks from their 2014 Fall campaign below.
