Sooo when I tell you guys that the people living in this brownstone are living out my dreams, I really mean it. My father was born and raised in Harlem and I spent a lot of my childhood and teenage years with my grandparents in Grant Projects. Growing up I always dreamed that I would buy a brownstone in Harlem and reno it from top to bottom and live happily ever after. Well 15 years later, reality, gentrification, and the development of Harlem has priced me out but when I ran across this stunning home on Elle.com it brought back some hope.
If I had or ever actually go through with my brownstone dreams, the design would be similar. I love that as soon as you walk in it looks like you’ve stepped into a scenic retreat that still feels like a home. The hustle and bustle of NY is what makes it the best city in the world but this home takes you off the street and welcomes you in. The style is contemporary with worldly influences but still upholds the traditionalism of the home. The art, finishes, furnishes, everything is perfect! Designer Sheila Bridges knocked it out the park. Take a look inside this beautiful home below.
