So I feel like I cover a good mix of the high/low here on AAEL. I always showcase my favorite fashion picks of the season which feature designer and high street. I do a dupe segment once a month showcasing a designer item I love with an inspired option at a more affordable price and I share my personal wishlist that mixes price-points. With all that in mind though I look to designer brands for inspiration before any other avenue. Yes, I love high street as much as the next but I promise your favorite street style looks from Fashion weeks all over the world are mostly made up of designer pieces because luxury brands set the standard for everything else.
So when the seasons change I check out the new collections but more importantly, I look at how the new lines are retailed, why you ask? Because this is a brands interpretation of how these pieces can be styled in everyday life & I found that one of the best sites that showcase this is net-a-porter.com. It’s funny, in my early 20’s when I would shop online, if a link led me there I would immediately click out because I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford it. Now I frequently shop (Gods blessings are real) and peruse the website for inspiration. See some of my favorite designer looks for this A/W 16 all found on Net-a-porter, the Edit.
