Black Friday Sales Round-Up and Update on My Shopping Habit Changes

If you’ve been reading this blog for the past year you know that I made major changes to my shopping habits. I stopped excessive buying from fast fashion houses and began focusing on purchasing sustainable, investment pieces made from organic materials & less man made junk. I purged a huge portion of my closet and streamlined it to things I actually wear. With less clothes, I’ve become more inspired when creating looks and I actually feel really good about the items in my current wardrobe. With that being said, I do believe that if you need to shop, replenish your basics, or purchase investment pieces you should do it during sales season. My friends, we are smack dab in the middle of sales season and I wanted to round up some really good sales for those of you who are hitting the black friday interwebs. Let’s get into some links shall we?

If you’re into luxury & department stores, youtuber Chase Amie has rounded up a great list of your favorite sites, I’m talking Bloomingdales, Saks, Net-a-Porter, SSense, My Theresa and the list goes on. Check the link for all the codes in one place.

High street more your jam? Then blogger Donna Bartoli did us all a huge favor and listed every sale and code for popular high street brands like Asos, H&M, Urban Outfitters, River Island, New Look, ect. Check out her blog post here.

For all my instagram shoppers *raises hand* who save all your favorite pieces or frequently swipe up to shop, then follow Monroe Steele over the next few days as she will be uploading all the sites and codes via IG stories. She also just dropped a blog post for every store you can imagine. Her style is so on point and I frequently visit her page for fashion inspiration.

Samantha Marie did a really good staple pieces edit that focuses on Mid-level brands that aren’t quite luxury but have higher price tags for more sustainable fashion. Think places like &Other Stories, All Saints, and Mango. I strongly suggest checking it out if your in need of outerwear, sweaters and boots.

If you’re looking for a different perspective on shopping and building a wardrobe, then learn from all around cool girl karenbritchick. She just did a “How to Shop The Sales” video dropping all kinds of shopping gems. Then binge watch all her videos because she’s that good. No one’s style is like hers!

If you’re still here, here’s my personal recommendations for brands that haven’t been mentioned and items that I’m checking out. I wear this Missoma necklace at least three times a week & want to add this one to my collection. The site if offering 25% off everything. I carry this Azurina tote all the time. It’s so functional and well priced & I’m thinking about adding another bag from their collection. I’m on the hunt for some black, slouchy boots and I’m contemplating pulling the trigger on this Vince pair or these Sam Edelman’s. Both almost half off! A white bag is on my wishlist and I think this discounted Mini Pashli or this Shrimps pearl number is so cute for year round wear. Fast fashion brands Boohoo and Nasty Gal (under one fashion roof) are having 60% off everything. Now, for the most part I am steering clear from these kind of brands BUT they serve a purpose for trendy, one-off pieces and for the LOW LOW ya’ll. I am a firm believe that undergarments can make or break a look, doesn’t matter your size, and my fav Female, black owned shapewear brand is having a bomb sale. You have to sign up for the mailing list to get the codes! Last but certainly not least, take the plunge and jump on the the Sunday Riley train. Especially for my ladies with acne prone skin. This kit is only sold during the holidays so get it before it’s gone!

Ebates & Dosh are offering crazy cash back deals & discounts for so many sites. So make sure you have both downloaded to your browser and phone to get the most out of your shopping!
